The Sarantos Family ~ Generations of Family owned business in Clovis
Opened in 1953 by Louis Sarantos Sr., the 500 Club stood at the main intersection in the small town of Clovis @ 5th Street and Clovis Avenue. True to the "Western" era, the 500 Club was a Saloon and Cardroom, serving spirits and offering gamblers of the period Lowball Poker. From the 1960's through the turn of the century, the 500 Club saw many changes, not only within its own walls, but in the growing Community of Clovis as well. For more than 40 years, son Louis Sarantos Jr., guided the 500 Club through several remodels and the construction addition of the attached Cardroom, all the while keeping the western tradition of it's original roots. In 2012, Louis Sarantos Jr., once again guided the 500 Club through a major expansion, ultimately constructing a new facility and then relocating the gambling license and gaming to the corner of Shaw and Willow Avenues, to what is now known as the 500 Club Casino. Today, the 500 Club Bar & Grill in Old Town Clovis, stands tall in it's original location, owned and operated by Cynthia Sarantos, it remains a landmark in the City of Clovis, serving all the award winning meals that it has become so well known for.
Over the course of 62 years, the Sarantos Family have been dedicated business owners and enormous supporters of the City of Clovis Community. In 2014, Clovis Pizza Junction opened and became the newest addition to the Sarantos family of companies.
